Support

Let's get you set up.

TurboTune is designed to be simple. Follow the steps below and you'll be on the road in a few minutes. If something isn't working, we've got you covered further down the page.

Getting Started

Setup in 6 steps

Each step takes a few seconds. You only need your TurboTune device, your phone, and your car.

1

Plug in the device

Find the OBD2 port in your vehicle (usually under the dashboard on the driver's side) and plug the TurboTune device in until it clicks.

2

Turn your ignition on

Turn the key to the ON position or press the start button without pressing the brake. The device needs power from the car to work.

3

Open the TurboTune app

Make sure Bluetooth is turned on before you open the app. The app will look for your device automatically.

4

Tap "Start TurboTune"

You'll see a connect button on the main screen. Tap it to begin pairing with your device.

5

Connect via Bluetooth

Select the device labeled "OBDII" from the Bluetooth list. It should appear within a few seconds of opening the app.

6

You're good to go

Once connected, the app starts reading your RPM and the exhaust sound kicks in. Turn up your speakers and enjoy the drive.

Try It First

Demo mode

Want to explore the app before connecting? Tap the graduation cap icon on the home screen. Demo mode walks you through the interface and features without needing the device plugged in.

Something Not Working?

Troubleshooting

Most issues are quick fixes. Tap on your issue below for help.

Device won't connect

First, make sure Bluetooth is turned on in your phone's settings. Then check that your vehicle's ignition is in the ON position. Finally, make sure the TurboTune device is pushed all the way into the OBD2 port. Try closing and reopening the app if it still doesn't appear.

No exhaust sound playing

Check that the app shows "Connected" at the top. Then make sure your car's volume is turned up. Inside the app, you can adjust the balance between engine sound and music. If the slider is all the way down, you won't hear anything.

App is frozen or not responding

Close the app completely and reopen it. If that doesn't work, restart your phone and try again. This usually clears things up right away.

Can I still play music?

Yes. TurboTune runs alongside your music. You can adjust the balance between engine sound and music directly in the app so both play at the level you want.
